What You Will Do

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and solution-oriented Business Development Manager to join one of our high-performing Partner Success Teams. In this role, you will work with Klarna’s largest and most strategic merchants to uncover growth opportunities and deliver scalable, value-driven solutions. You’ll need to be comfortable in a fast-paced, self-directed environment where critical thinking, rapid learning, and strategic decision-making are essential to success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and executing mutually beneficial business plans with partners to drive shared growth.

  • Identifying enhancements and optimization opportunities for existing partner relationships.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with analysts, delivery, product and marketing teams to maximize enablement and lead generation activities.

  • Leading efforts to identify and close new partnerships, upsells, and expansion opportunities.

  • Developing deep, trust-based relationships across all organizational levels, including C-suite stakeholders.

  • Conducting market analysis to strategically position Klarna in key sectors.

  • Network effectively with local existing and prospective clients and develop strong professional relationships.

  • Delivering insightful and tailored Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to merchant leadership.

  • Operating effectively in a culturally diverse ecosystem and tailoring strategies without compromising Klarna’s brand identity.

  • Maintaining operational excellence through effective time, budget, and resource management.

Being an active contributor in elevating Klarna’s business to the next level.



Who You Are

  • 5+ years in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales, ideally within retail, payments, technology, or e-commerce.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Highly adaptable and driven, with the ability to self-learn and make strategic decisions in high-velocity environments.

  • Exceptional critical thinking skills, with a strong ability to break down complex problems and develop clear, actionable solutions.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and independently prioritizing tasks to drive outcomes.

  • Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

  • Passionate about continuous improvement, ownership, and collaborative teamwork.

  • Proven ability to manage executive-level relationships and influence decision-making.

Deep curiosity and cultural intelligence with a desire to build business impact globally.



Awesome to Have

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications.

  • Experience working across international markets and cultures.

  • Proficiency in additional languages.

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and data analysis tools.
